Bricker & Eckler LLP’s creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group offers comprehensive legal services to clients affected by insolvency or non-performing debt. We provide a multidisciplinary approach that employs the firm’s negotiation, litigation and transactional skills to fashion creative and effective solutions to problems faced by financially troubled businesses and individuals and their creditors.
The creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice group regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees and debtors in bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation proceedings, adversary proceeding litigation, and bankruptcy appeals. Our attorneys also have extensive experience in state court proceedings ranging from mortgage foreclosure and receivership litigation to commercial collection and judgment enforcement. The practice group also has specialized expertise representing financial institutions in consumer finance litigation.
Outside the courtroom we have represented lenders and borrowers in the restructuring and work out of sophisticated commercial facilities, asset based loans, bond and letter of credit backed financings, and construction and permanent mortgage loans.
The practice group is led by partners Kenneth C. Johnson and
